Parent Volunteer Agreement - At time of Registration you will be asked to check off on the PVA which includes.
SVL is a non-profit organization and its success relies heavily on parental participation. Each participating FAMILY is required to volunteer 3 HOURS during the course of the 2019 season. This participation requirement includes volunteering at select events as well as performing some of the necessary functions including score keeping and timekeeping during the season.
We will be requiring a $50.00 deposit per family that will be returned at the end of the year after a minimum of 3 work hours have been completed. If volunteer commitment is not fulfilled your deposit check will be processed by SVL.
Volunteer opportunities will be listed on our website. You will be able to sign up with your team parent when assigned to a team.
$50.00 postdated check will be collected at time of uniform disbursement.
SVL Uniforms - Very important for 2019 Season that parents take a little extra time in sizing the uniforms along with proper care of the uniforms. For 2020, your player will be able to use the 2019 uniform and receive a lower registration fee. If you need to order a new uniform, you will be charge the cost of the uniform. We are happy with the new vendor and quality of uniforms. A number of details need to be worked out to make this happen but we feel confident this will assist in family registration fees and over-all cost of uniforms.

Welcome to what is going to be another great Lacrosse Winter Skills Session with SVL. Our Winter program is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game in a fun, exciting, and safe environment. We focus on good sportsmanship, equal playing time, and good competition. Our US Lacrosse Certified Coaches will focus on all of the skills and try to make everything as fun as possible. US Lacrosse establishes eligibility guidelines in order to promote the game of lacrosse among the youth of America in a safe and sportsmanlike environment. To best achieve this goal, US Lacrosse believes that leagues, associations, and other organizers of youth lacrosse should seek to provide playing opportunities that, as much as possible, establish a "level playing field" among players of similar age, size, and ability.

High School Players from Milford and Souhegan join SVL Board
Welcome New Board Members
On behalf of the SVL Board, I am pleased to announce the following additions to our general board at last night's monthly board meeting. This year we have added HS Boys and GIrls lacrosse players from both Milford and Souhegan. There added input and involvement with our club is going to add a tremendous amount of value.
From Milford High School please join me in congratulating Matthew Hannon and Caroline Boudreau. From Souhegan congratulations to Izzy Aiello and Andrew Merenda who officially were voted in at last night's meeting... unanimously.
We will also be having 4 additional players from both schools that will be voted in at our next meeting.
Your family and your child's participation and membership in SVL are contingent on adhering to the following policy of Souhegan Valley Lacrosse. You agree to read and comply with the terms of this Parent Contract and to follow the standards listed below.
I understand that it is club policy to offer and attempt equal playing time to all players regardless of ability.
I will remain in the spectator area during competitions, which is on the opposite side of the field from the team benches.
I will “Honor the Game.” I will show respect for all involved with the game including coaches, players, opponents, opposing fans, table crew, and officials.
I will place the emotional and physical well- being of my child and all players ahead of a personal desire to win.
If capable, I will help when asked to by a coach or official.
I will support coaches and officials working with my child in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience.
I understand that games can be exciting for my child as he/she deals with the fast paced action of the game, responds to opponents, referees, teammates, and listens to coaches. I will not yell out instructions. I will let the coaches do the coaching.
During the game I will make only sportsmanlike comments that encourage my child and other players on both teams.
I will not be confrontational with the officials or coaches during or after the game, either on the field or in the immediate vicinity (such as the parking lot).
Should I have any concerns or issues with the coaches or officials I will relay these to the Boys/Girls VP or President of Souhegan Valley Lacrosse and not with the coaching staff or officials.
